SILVER JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS
MESSAGE OF THE BISHOP AT THE PRIESTLY SILVER JUBILEE CELEBRATION OF REV. FR. MACARIUS KABYOGAMU & REV. FR. ADOLF L. MUMANZI.
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
With profound joy and gratitude, I welcome you all to this grace-filled celebration of the Priestly Silver Jubilee of Rev. Fr. Macarius Kabyogamu, ordained on 13th March 1999, and Rev. Fr. Adolf L. Mumanzi, ordained on 20th August 2000. Together, we give thanks to the Lord who has sustained them in His service for twenty-five years: “The Lord has done great things for us; we are filled with joy” (Psalm 126:3).
Dear Jubilarians, today we honor your faithfulness to the call of Christ the Good Shepherd. In the course of your priestly journey, you have generously served the Church in various appointments, in parishes, institutions, chaplaincies etc. Your pastoral care, preaching, and faithful celebration of the Sacraments have borne abundant fruit among the people of God. As St. Paul reminds us: “It is required of stewards that they be found faithful” (1 Corinthians 4:2). Indeed, you have been faithful stewards of the mysteries of God.
I extend my heartfelt thanks for your dedication, sacrifices, and witness. May the Lord who called you, and has walked with you for these twenty-five years, continue to strengthen you: “He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion” (Philippians 1:6).
I also wish to sincerely thank the Jubilee Organizing Committee, led by Rev. Fr. Charles Nyarwa Light and his devoted team, for their tireless efforts in preparing this celebration. As we celebrate this milestone, let us be reminded that the harvest is great but the laborers are few (cf. Matthew 9:37). May this Jubilee inspire our families and communities to nurture vocations and to support our priests with prayer, encouragement, and love.
To you, dear Fr. Macarius and Fr. Adolf, I say: Congratulations, and thank you for your fidelity. May Our Lady, Mother of Priests accompany you always. May Christ, the Eternal High Priest, continue to bless your ministry in the years ahead.
Happy Jubilee!
